Shane had to be out of town the night of our church Daddy Daughter Date. We had been talking about it for a year, so we were scrambling for an alternate activity that would measure up. I was so excited to see a formal Daddy Daughter Dinner/Dance being held at a Ritzy downtown Hotel. Of course, the church dance was free and this one boosted $75 tickets + $30 for photos. Ouch! Luckily, Shane came home from his special evening with his girl and proclaimed it was totally worth it. They had a spectacular time. Lydia was as happy as I've ever seen her.
Wow, if it was totally worth $75 it must have been spectacular. I want to hear the details that made it so amazing. Lydia looks so grown up and Shane looks very handsome in his suit.
ReplyDeleteOh the dinner and dance were pretty basic. Very nice atmosphere, a nice dinner (nothing extravagant). The reason it was worth it was that Lydia had such a fantastic time. She danced with Shane and made a new friend and spent the whole evening giggling in her pretty new dress. For her, it doesn't get any better than that. Worth the money for the smiles and the memories.
